Bernadette Peters
Bernadette Peters, born Lazzara, was born February 28 in 1948. She is an American performer, actress, and children's author. In a span of more than six decades, she has starred in musical theatre, television and film, and performed in performances on her own and recorded. She is a critically acclaimed Broadway performerwho has received seven nominations for Tony Awards, winning two (plus an honorary award) as well as nine Drama Desk Award nominations, receiving three. Four of her Broadway productions in which she has performed have been awarded Grammy Awards.
Many consider Peters as the greatest Stephen Sondheim interpreter. She is most well-known for her performances on Broadway including Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (1884), Song and Dance (1885), Into the Woods with George (1987), The Goodbye Girl (1993), Annie Get Your Gun (1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2010), Follies (2009) and Hello, Dolly (2018).
